XY Upgrades was founded by twin brothers Braydon and Braxton Pennell, seniors at SUNY New Paltz who grew up building things together and never stopped. Today we combine coding, marketing, and years of AI experience to give small businesses a real platform for their hard work. A small business gets a full team in two people.
We started XY Upgrades because we kept seeing the same gap: large companies with sleek, modern websites, and great local businesses stuck with outdated sites, or no website, logo, or social presence at all. When we looked at what developers charge, we understood why. Agency quotes start in the five figures, and most owners simply can't justify that.
That gap became our mission: make elite website and brand design affordable for small businesses, so your online presence finally matches the quality of your work. We don't think elite design should be a luxury good, so we priced it for the businesses that actually need it.
And we practice what we sell. Through our other company, XY Creations, we design and launch our own apps and websites, like xyportfoliolab.com. When we build for you, we build it the way we build for ourselves.
